Taking product to the next level at Digital Deployment

Steph Bradley - Director of Product and Innovation

Over the past year, we’ve been extremely focused on our long-term product development. These efforts include creating a robust new Drupal 8 platform to anchor the future of our web development, establishing clear lanes for vertical-specific features and enhancements, and much more. Today, we’re pleased to announce that this initiative grows even stronger with the promotion of Steph Bradley to Director of Product at Digital Deployment.

In the new role, Steph will oversee each of Digital Deployment’s product development efforts to ensure that everything we build has a unified voice, vision, and experience based on real user needs and active customer feedback. Drawing from the deep project experience and strong client relationships she acquired while Director of Content Services, Bradley is the ideal person to shape the user experience, oversee the development roadmap, and facilitate continuous innovation in the tools we build moving forward.

Please join us in congratulating Steph on her new role. We’re excited to watch product come to life under her watch! In anticipation of what she’ll bring, we asked Steph a few questions about the new role.

Q: What is a typical day like in your new role?

A: My focus is to be the bridge between our clients and the (DD) development team to ensure that we’re always improving the user experience across our various products. Our team’s main focus right now is building a new content management system on an upgraded version of the Drupal platform. On a daily basis, I meet with clients and developers to evaluate and prioritize feature development, requests, and bug fixes. I’m not sure I’ve had a “typical day” up to this point, but that’s part of the fun of creating a new role.

Q: What inspired you to make the leap into product leadership?

A: I’ve been working in our current content management system for the past five years, experiencing the same highs and lows as our clients. During that time, I’ve been keeping track of improvements I’d like to see in our new system. When the opportunity arose to get involved in building our upgraded CMS, I was excited to put that experience to use.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Translating client needs into actionable tasks for our development team, and then delivering features back to the client. Although it’s not a smooth process yet, I’m stoked about our team’s potential to solve previously unsolvable problems with new technology.

Q: Is there something that you’re most excited about taking on this new role?

A: Product leadership has taken many forms at Digital Deployment but has never been encompassed in a dedicated role. I’m excited to formalize processes around product management and development and get to work with clients and my teammates in new ways.
