October updates: Long Beach City College launches new website, Mac and the FCC, more
Read on to learn about our out-of-office shenanigans on the water, Mac’s meeting with the chair of the FCC, information about the launch of an amazing new site for LBCC, and of course details on our monthly software update!
In this issue:
Since 1927, Long Beach City College (LBCC) has been at the heart of the community providing educational programs with a commitment to excellence in student learning in a culturally diverse and vibrant environment.
I was privileged to meet FCC Chairman Ajit Pai to discuss bridging the digital divide and net neutrality. Despite differences in policy, we had a productive dialog. He has a bold plan to expand opportunity and access, and I look forward to holding him accountable, particularly to the needs of smaller businesses like ours.
We recently decided to lean into the heat and go kayaking on Lake Natoma. We packed up an hour early on a Thursday, drove up to Folsom, and spent a lovely and relaxing evening kayaking and paddleboarding around the lake and under bridges. We’re very lucky that our team likes spending time together, even outside work!
This month’s improvements
- Improved the interface for configuring the per-user approver: If the content approver field on the user editing form is emptied, then the default site approvers will be used.
- Fixed an issue where content approval emails and bundle & blast emails were corrupted for posts having a ’script’ or ’style’ tag in their HTML Embed field.
- Added support for thousands separators (commas) to PayPal webforms.
